Her previous doctor botched her operation and refused to listen to her complaints when she went to him for advice. Thankfully, Terry knows what to do about her painful problem and does what he can to remedy her overly large breasts and the back problems from which she has been suffering. The famed plastic surgeons also meet Elena, a dominatrix who had to leave the military because of a botched butt operation. Terry is able to help her with an unconventional procedure but another patient is advised against having further work done to his face. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow reflect on some of their remarkable globe trotting patients, who travelled abroad to access cut-price procedures or supposed expertise and ended up as the victims of surgical disasters. They include a woman who wanted a more shapely posterior but found that breast implants had been inserted into her buttocks, giving her a very strange shape indeed. They also work with another woman whose original doctors don't seem to have been keeping track of their patients' wishes at all. She went under anaesthetic expecting to get liposuction and woke up just the same shape but with what had been a perfectly satisfactory nose unexpectedly altered. Perhaps the most disturbing of all is the case of a tummy tuck patient whose doctor used a block of ice as the only anaesthetic, resulting in unsatisfying surgical results and prolonged psychological trauma, making it difficult for the patient to feel confident about going back into an operating theatre.
A countdown of the top dozen most obsessive plastic surgery patients featured over the course of the 'Botched' series. Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow look back at patients obsessed with everything being bigger. Patients who feel that nothing is ever enough and often go under the knife again and again. Some are obsessed with looking like celebrities. One patient is obsessed with having the biggest buttocks in the world, regardless of how impractical this might be. Another will stop at nothing to look exactly like Michael Jackson, even after the star's reputation has lost some of its shine. They also remember a patient who was obsessed with Superman. It's a bit much to ask a cosmetic surgeon to deliver superhuman strength or the power of flight, but multiple surgical procedures could help to create that iconic look. The experts wonder what drives this level of obsession, reflecting on patients whose dreams came true and others who got into trouble.
